Job Overview:

As a Laborer at Denoco Energy Systems, you will provide essential support to our skilled tradespeople by assisting with various tasks related to HVAC installations, maintenance, and repairs. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the industry and develop the foundational skills needed to advance in the trades. You will work in a variety of settings, helping to ensure that our projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with Installations:
    • Support HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, and other tradespeople with the installation of HVAC systems, ductwork, plumbing, and electrical components.
    • Transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites, ensuring that everything is in place for a smooth workflow.
    • Help with the setup and cleanup of job sites, including assembling and disassembling scaffolding, moving materials, and maintaining a clean work area.
  • General Labor:
    • Perform basic construction tasks, such as digging trenches, cutting and measuring materials, and using hand and power tools.
    • Assist in loading and unloading materials, ensuring they are stored safely and organized on-site.
    • Perform other general labor tasks as directed by supervisors and skilled tradespeople.
  • Learning and Development:
    • Take advantage of opportunities to learn from experienced tradespeople, gaining exposure to different aspects of the HVAC and energy solutions industry.
    • Show initiative and a willingness to take on new tasks, gradually increasing your responsibilities as you gain experience.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of tools and materials.
    • Follow company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.
    • Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors immediately.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work as part of a team, communicating effectively with supervisors and colleagues to complete tasks efficiently.
    • Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
    • No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Strong interest in learning about the HVAC and energy solutions industry.
    • Ability to follow instructions and work under the direction of skilled tradespeople.
    • Basic understanding of hand and power tools is an asset, but not required.
    • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
    • Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
