Job Overview:

As an HVAC Installer at Denoco Energy Systems, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in both residential and commercial settings. You will work closely with customers to ensure that their HVAC systems are installed to the highest standards, contributing to their comfort, energy efficiency, and overall satisfaction. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation:
    • Install HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioning units, ductwork, ventilation systems, heat pumps, and thermostats in residential and commercial properties.
    • Perform precise measurements and calculations to ensure accurate installation and alignment of HVAC components.
    • Set up controls, wiring, and piping for HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
    • Test HVAC systems after installation to ensure proper operation and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Maintenance and Repairs:
    • Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC systems, including cleaning, inspecting, and replacing filters, belts, and other components.
    • Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, addressing issues such as refrigerant leaks, electrical problems, and mechanical failures.
    • Provide emergency repair services as needed to restore HVAC functionality and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Interaction:
    • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and preferences, providing guidance on HVAC system options and energy efficiency.
    • Explain installation processes, system operations, and maintenance requirements to customers in a clear and professional manner.
    • Address customer questions and concerns, ensuring a positive experience throughout the installation process.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including OSHA standards and local building codes.
    • Ensure that all installations meet company quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area, properly handling tools and materials.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work collaboratively with other installers, technicians, and team members to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard.
    • Assist with training and mentoring junior installers or apprentices as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education and Certification:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Valid HVAC certification (e.g., Red Seal Certification, Gas Technician License, etc.).
    • EPA Certification or other relevant licenses as required by the province or locality.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
    • Experience with both residential and commercial HVAC systems is preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and installation techniques.
    • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills.
    • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

 

Working Conditions:

    • Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes in varying weather conditions.
    • The role may require lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in confined or elevated spaces.
    • Must be available for on-call or emergency service as needed, including some evenings or weekends.
